The first bus leaves from the terminal placed in Panamericana Sur of Desaguadero at 10:00 a.m. and the last one leaves at 12:30 p.m. The buses will arrive to the Terminal Terrestre of Arequipa located in the central area of the city. The climate of Arequipa is dry and temperate, with a nice temperature that averages a maximum of 77 °F (25 °C).
Desaguadero is located at the Puno department. The city is on the border between Bolivia and Peru, at short distance to the Titicaca lake. It’s considered as a “two nations city” for having a Peruvian side and a Bolivian side, joined together by the Puente Internacional. In the area of Desaguadero you can appreciate the large diversity of flora and fauna of the high Andean plateau. Arequipa is known as the legal capital of Peru and also known as the "White City". This name comes from the style of the city's arquitecture using a white volcanic stone as the main material to build. Arequipa is one of the biggest cities in Peru and it's as well ranked 3rd destination of the country for its tourism. We advice you to visit the majestic Cathedral of Arequipa, the church of San Domingo and the Santa Catalina monastery. To have a nice view of the city, climb up to the Yanahuara view point. You can also visit the Misti volcano. If you are lucky, you will be there for the Arequipa carnival, one of the most well-known carnivals, celebrated in February and March.
