The port city of Ilo is located at the South-West of Peru. It’s one of the most important cities of the Coast South of Peru owing to its port economical activity, from where different kinds of merchandises are transported to other places inside the country. The main tourist attraction of Ilo is the number of beaches it has on the seashores of the Pacific Ocean. Pozo the Lizas is the most visited beach by tourists and locals, owing to the sans and sea colour that reflect the charm of the Peruvian South. Wawakiki and Jaboncillo are some other beaches that you can not miss.
Tacna is an unusual place: deserts and fertile valleys live together in the territory, creating unique landscapes between the coast and the mountain range, next to the border with Chile. The warm weather of the mornings allows to enjoy the beautiful beaches, the thermal waters and lagoons. On the “paseo cívico” (civic walk, a main street) are located many tourist attractions as the Cathedral of Tacna. We recommend you to taste the typical dish “picante a la tacneña”. You can also enjoy the vineyards, that produce wines and piscos of high quality for the exportation.
