Named the "city of kings" when it was founded in 1535 under the hispanic foundation, it was known as Limaq by the local natives, which means "chatty". Huariaca

The district of Huariaca is part of the Pasco province and preserves a great historic wealth due to the archaeological sites that are located in the outskirts.
