The travel from the northern city of Sullana to the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil takes about 11 hours by land, being 325 mi (523 km) of distance. Buses leave at 8.30 p.m. from a terminal next to the Panamericana Norte of Sullana, destination to the terminal of the central area of Guayaquil. Sullana, the city located on the bank of the Chira river, is also known as the Pearl of Chira or the city of the Eternal summer, due to its tropical weather and warm with sunny days. Guayaquil, also known as the “Pacific Pearl”, is the political and economic capital of Equator. It’s considered one of the most important ports in South America. Thanks to the privilege climate of Guayaquil, the city can be visited at any season of the year, because there are no extreme temperatures; nevertheless, the climate is more humid in winter (from January to May).
